SELECTING YOUR DIAMOND: THE 4 C's

Choosing the perfect diamond begins with understanding the 4 Cs — the globally recognised standard for assessing diamond quality:

  • Cut: Arguably the most important of the 4 Cs, cut refers to how well a diamond has been shaped and faceted. A well-cut diamond reflects light beautifully, giving it brilliance and sparkle.

  • Colour: Diamonds are graded on a scale from D (colourless) to Z (light yellow or brown). The closer to D, the rarer and more valuable the diamond.

  • Clarity: This measures the presence of natural inclusions or imperfections. The fewer the inclusions, the higher the clarity grade.

  • Carat Weight: This refers to the size of the diamond, with one carat equal to 200 milligrams. While carat affects the size and price, a well-cut diamond can appear larger than its weight suggests.

Lab-Grown Diamonds: A Modern, Ethical Alternative

Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds — physically, chemically, and optically identical to mined diamonds — but created in advanced laboratories using cutting-edge technology.

Why Choose Lab-Grown Diamonds?

  • Ethical & Sustainable: No mining means significantly less environmental impact and assurance of conflict-free origins.

  • Exceptional Value: Lab-grown diamonds typically cost 30–50% less than mined equivalents, offering the same quality at a more accessible price point.

  • Visually Identical: Even experienced gemologists need specialised tools to distinguish them from mined diamonds.
